The luxury Resort next to Quinta da Marinha, in Cascais, challenges families to celebrate this festive season with different gastronomic moments, accompanied by good music. Traditional table moments at Christmas and New Year will be spent at the Glass Terrace restaurant, overlooking the resort's stunning gardens.
Sheraton Cascais Resort will celebrate Christmas with an exclusive dinner on Christmas Eve and a special brunch menu on December 25th. Both moments will feature a menu full of delicacies typical of the Christmas season and, at Christmas Brunch, there will be musical entertainment in duo.
The Christmas Eve Dinner will take place between 07:00 PM and 11:00 PM and has four gastronomic proposals. It starts with a partridge soup and Madeira wine, for starter, followed by the fish dish – fresh cod, chickpea puree, low-temperature egg and canned shallots – and a palette of lamb, carrot puree and pakchoy, such as meat suggestion. Finally, a table will be available with a wide range of Christmas desserts, buffet style.
The Sheraton Cascais Christmas Brunch will take place on December 25, between 12:30 PM and 04:00 PM. This is already one of the favorite meals of the Portuguese, as on Christmas Day it is tradition to sit at the table late and enjoy a leisurely meal with many different dishes to suit all tastes.
This menu includes a selection of typical dishes from a brunch menu, such as assorted salads and wraps, shrimp cooked with fleur de sel, a wide selection of cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages and mushrooms and assorted pastries. Some more cozy dishes traditionally alluding to Christmas will also be served, such as: roasted tomato cream with basil, braised grouper, beurre blanc sauce and creamy cod with shrimp and spinach. As meat options, the menu includes the classic roasted and carved turkey and a steak wellington.
The brunch menu will also feature a vegetarian option – a thousand leafy vegetables, halloumi cheese and roasted tomatoes – and also a pasta dish à La Carbonara. This gastronomic moment ends with a traditional Christmas dessert table.
Sheraton Cascais Resort's Christmas Eve menu is available for €95 per person, drinks not included, and Christmas brunch for €80 for adults, with water, coffee and juices included. Children between 4 and 12 years old pay only half of these amounts. Both offers can be booked for groups of 2 to 12 people, 72 hours in advance.
New Year Proposal
The most emblematic and glamorous night of the year, which celebrates the entry into 2022, begins with a welcome cocktail to the sound of live saxophone, between 19:00 and 19:30, in which a selection of drinks and appetizers will be served. , such as Cornets of salmon, guacamole and tobiko roe, Breaded shrimp with sweet and sour sauce, Strawberry gazpacho, pennyroyal oil and breadcrumbs, among others.
After the welcome cocktail, the New Year's Dinner will follow, with live jazz music, which will have a special menu and a wide selection of drinks included. The tasting begins with an amouse bouche of cured mackerel, marinated puree and pepper gel, followed by an appetizer of Carabineiro, cauliflower and caviar textures.
As main dishes, the Chef presents a sea bass with barnacles, champagne sauce, fondant potatoes, seaweed and salicornia powder and a succulent veal loin, with pine nuts and foie gras condiment, celery puree, caramelized carrots and flower salad with wood sauce. As dessert, a delight of three chocolates will be served.
To accompany the twelve chimes, a toast with flute of champagne, raisins and a lively party with a DJ, which will last until 02:00 AM, could not be missing. At the end of the night, a supper with broth will be served, mini hamburgers and mini nails.
New Year's Dinner is available for €300 for bookings made until November 30th, €350 for bookings from December 1st to December 15th and €400 for bookings made between December 16th and December 28th. Children between 4 and 12 years old enjoy a 50% discount
On January 1, 2022, Sheraton Cascais Resort will have a special New Year Brunch menu with musical entertainment in duo, served between 12:30 PM and 04:00 PM.
Ideal to enjoy after a night of excess, this brunch menu will feature a set of comforting options, typical of brunch, such as: breads and vinoiseries, cheeses and sausages, butters and jams, pancakes, bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs , Selection of salads and assorted snacks. More elaborate dishes will also be available, such as shrimp, crab and oysters, a mushroom risotto, roast beef, a pizza 'station'. The New Year brunch menu also includes fish soup, roasted sea bream with Portuguese sauce, pork tenderloin with honey and rosemary sauce and vegetable cannelonnis, for those opting for a vegetarian suggestion.
To satisfy the needs of the youngest, there will also be the 'Children's Corner', which will feature a pasta dish with bolognese sauce and nuggets with french fries.
For this moment, the Chef prepared a set of classic and delicious desserts: rice pudding, cream milk, chocolate mousse, brigadeiro cake, orange pie, almond cake and mini custard tarts.
New Year Brunch is available for €90 for adults or €45 for children between 4 and 12 years old. Reservations must be made 72 hours in advance.
