Sheraton Cascais Resort's new brunch menu, available from November 10, was developed by chef Pedro Rebelo dos Santos and is based on table sharing.
Portuguese's favorite meal will be served every Sunday between 12:30 and 16:00 in the Glass Terrace restaurant and, according to the new concept of sharing the Chef wants to promote, every moment of the menu is designed for two, since delicacies come served on boards.
The first moment of brunch consists of a board with a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, bread and viennoiseries, pancakes, mushrooms, bacon, and scrambled eggs, as well as natural yogurt with granola and berries.
Then the starter board with three choices of Crostinis: one of smoked salmon with cream cheese, capers and dill, another with curd, mushrooms and truffle oil and a third of tomato and mozzarella. This entree also includes three salads: octopus, grain with chipped cod and celery with apple.
As in the fall and winter the hot dishes are important, the Chef included in the menu a Hot Board, which comes to the table with some typical lunch dishes: cream of mushrooms, creamy sea rice, chicken breast with rosemary and baked potato sauce and a wide variety of seasonal baked vegetables.
Brunch ends with a Dessert Board, which combines a glass of rice pudding, chocolate mousse, a mini-opera cake, a mini lemon, and raspberry tartlet and, to refresh, a bowl of fresh fruit with yogurt and honey.
To go along with the meal there is a daily fruit juice of the day and, finally, tea or coffee.
Sheraton Cascais Resort brunch must be booked at firstname.lastname@example.org and is available for € 29 per person, or € 14.50 for children ages 5 to 9. Kids up to 4 years old do not pay.
